Prize Winners, New committee and 30th Anniversary Party

Our first season in the London League was not easy but still enjoyable as Remnants HC had the opportunity to play some games in new parts of SE London as well as East London and even an away game in Chiswick.

On May 7th, Rems members, old and new, met in Cathy and Caroline's garden for our end of season party, Awards ceremony and 30th Anniversary.

A few days before, our new commitee had been voted in during our online AGM. Thank you again to Aimee, Mel W and Martina who stepped down from the committee this year. Their contributions to the club in the last few years have been muchly appreciated.

Here is the new commitee:

Club Captain: Mel K

Team Captain: Sabe

Secretary: Jess

Fixtures Sec: Tati

Social Sec: Cat

Publicity: Molly

Treasurer: Aurelie

You can find out more about our commitee on this page.

As mentioned earlier, during our party, we recognised players , commitee members and umpires who have made exceptional contributions this season. Here are the winners:

Top Scorers: Wendy and Lesley

Most Improved: Molly and Cat

Best new player: Donna

Coach's award: Mel K

POTS and Player of the year: Martina Contributor's cup winner: Cat

Well done to all our award winners and a further thank you to Cat who not only organises our social events but also steps on the field every week as our main umpire.

Here are a few photos from our garden party. We can't wait for our next social event later this summer.

In the meantime, you can join us on alternate Wednesdays at Colfe's school for Summer Hockey sessions. Contact us by email: info@remnantshockey.org.uk or on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

You can also meet us the Sports Fair organised by Out For Sport on 10 June 2022. More info and tickets are available here.
