COMMITTEE
Our committee is elected every year at the club's AGM. The committee is an important part of our club, organising fixtures, training, hosting social events, finding umpires and much more. Here is Remnants HC committee for 2023-24:
Mel (Club captain)
Mel
Mel has been our club captain since the start of the 2020-21 season. Mel joined Remnants HC in 2014 after moving to SE London. She loves playing hockey with Remnants as it is a very friendly club. She works in IT as a technical analyst and when not chasing a ball around midfield likes to run and has completed a few half marathons. Her favourite escape is a long walk in the countryside followed by a nice cold cider.
Louise

Louise
Louise is our new Team Captain for 2023-24.
Cat
(Social secretary)

Cat is our social secretary. She has already organised a night of bowling and a BBQ this Spring. We can't wait to see what else she is planning for our social calendar for 22-23.
Cat is also our main umpire, making it possible for games to go ahead every week. She was recently voted Most Improved Player.
Jess
(Fixtures Secretary)
Jess
Jess has been playing hockey since 2016 and on the committee in some capacity since 2017. They only really started enjoying sports as an adult and played American football at university.
Jess wanted to meet other queer people and came to the club having only played field hockey a few times in school. Remnants is a great club to learn field hockey, improve or transfer your skills from other sports. Jess plays as a forward.

Rosemary joined Remnants in 2016 and is the Secretary for the 2023-24 season
Aurelie (Treasurer)
Aurelie
Aurélie joined Remnants HC in 2005 when she started working in Kent as a teacher after moving to the UK from Brittany (in France).
She now works with students with special needs in Medway. Apart from hockey, she enjoys cooking, and baking and likes to bring some of her cakes and muffins to hockey games. Despite several injuries in recent years, she still enjoys playing in defense for Remnants HC.
She is our treasurer for the 23-24 season.
Molly (promotion)
Molly
Outside of hockey she enjoys readings, quizzing (naming all 196 countries especially) and a cocktail or two.

Molly has been playing for Rems HC since September 2021, brand new to the game, proving that anyone can come and pick up a stick!
